Stay Informed. Be educated about your rights

  1. Your safety comes first. Do not drive a car that may be unsafe due to an automotive collision. We will gladly arrange for your car to be towed to our certified repair facility .
  2. Some insurance companies may want you to attend at a collision reporting centre before having your car repaired. You can do this, or you may leave your car at our location and ask that the insurance company come to inspect the car. At CCRC we work cooperatively with all of the major insurance companies who utilize qualified appraisers and we communicate with them continually advising them of all work and repairs that need to be done to our customer’s vehicle.
  3. In Ontario there is no law that requires you get more than one car repair estimate or damage appraisal on your vehicle. However, you have the right to get as many comparison estimates as you’d like in order to help you make an informed decision about your collision repair options.
  4. You have the right to take your vehicle to the collision repair center of your choice. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a body shop of their choice. In fact if you feel that your insurance company is strongly recommending a shop to you – you should resist. This practice is known as “steering” – and is illegal in Ontario.
  5. Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. If you’re not sure why one estimate is different from another you’ve received, just ask one of our certified service advisors to explain it to you.
  6. Choose a repair centre that has unibody repair equipment and employs certified auto body technicians. At CCRC, all of our collision repair technicians have continuing training to ensure that they are skilled in the latest auto body repair process and equipment.
  7. Make sure you choose an auto collision repair centre that has the advanced equipment and systems used to remove and reinstall frame, suspension, engine, and drivetrain components as well as provide other essential collision repair services. At CCRC, we have the latest equipment and training necessary to repair your car to its exact factory specifications.
  8. Make sure that the collision repair centre offers a warranty. CCRC stands behinds its work and provides a CCRC Lifetime warranty.
